Ugh-

Made it through the night thanks to some pain reliever/sleep aides. Still sore today, it hurts if I press on my abdomen or walk around. Or sit, or lay even. But it's nothing at all like last night. Hopefully it'll continue dissipating over the course of the next couple of days.

*I don't know how long sperm live after an IUI, or stay where they need to be, but hoping the timing was okay. The internet had conflicting answers. I had the IUI at 9am, and I started feeling ovulation pains at 8pm. Like 11 hours later then. I think the timing could have been better, but I suppose there's no point in stressing it... so I start progesterone tomorrow tonight, and we wait.*

Now to find some distractions.

*edited later in the day, sorry!

Glad you're feeling a bit better :) Any good books you could read??

The timing should be perfect. They want IUI to be within 24 hrs of ovulation...in a normal bedroom scenario, sperm lives 3 to 5 days.

just read your last few blogposts, haven't been online properly for a few days.

Hoping that by now a plump juicy sperm has infiltrated at least one of those eggies and is now approaching the bottom of your fallopes, thinking about a good hard burrow into some cosy endometrium and a good hard grow for 8 months.

Sounds weird when I put it like that, but you know what I mean!!

That does sounds like perfect timing for egg and sperm to meet! Now you can just sit back and let them do the deed : )

Well, spermies will remain as robust after an IUI as they would in a suitable ambience after a natural twingtwang.

The timing sounds reasonable to me...
