Yet more waiting-

First of all, thank you everyone so much for the support and well wishes :) It really means a lot to have you there cheering me on, and offering support when I need it.

We're still not out of the woods yet, so please continue all the thoughts/prayers/chants/meditations you can spare. Thank you!

- I'm extremely anxious for Monday to get here. I keep worrying that the little one has stopped growing, or we won't find a heartbeat again. It's going to be extremely hard on me if that happens. I'm trying not to think about it, but I am terrified. I don't want to go through another loss. I don't want to lose this baby. Lots of emotions in all that, and I don't even know where to begin.

- I'm been having major sleep issues. I keep waking up anywhere between 3am and 7am... which is not cool, because we don't need to wake up until 8am. So then I get exhausted midday and all I want to do is take a nap. I know I shouldn't, so I fight it, and yet somehow I end up passing out accidentally. Then the nasty premature wake-up sleep pattern is reinforced. It's a vicious cycle.

- I've also had the migraine from hell today, and sore from my uncomfortable couch. My RE said normal activities should be fine, she even said I could exercise as long as I'm careful and keep my heart rate down... but, I don't feel comfortable with that right now. When I move too much I get crampy, and crampy = abdominal cramps resulting in terrified woman who is totally paranoid and begins to fear the worst upon any cramp or twinge. So I'm staying on my couch damn it. I'm nursing my migraine with acetaminophen... which isn't really helping much at all. And I'm just hoping to feel better physically. I think I might be coming down with something, my sinuses have been congested, and I'm been headachy... it could just be from the weather though. I'm hoping for the latter.

And with that, I'm going to say goodnight. I feel a strong wave of exhaustion coming on again. Serves me right, I accidentally woke up around 3am today and couldn't get back to sleep. My attempts to nap all failed... ugh.

First of all, I totally and completely understand your fears.

Second, sleep issues suck.

Third, ask your doc about vicodin for the migraines. It is completely safe during pregnancy.

Sweetie, my prayers remain with you. I have nothing constructive to offer you on the sleep disruption, but all I can say is that approach nap-taking with minimum guilt.

Do it wherever whenever you want to (except driving), and if it makes you crampy, just don't exercise for a while. Have hubby stuff you up with good food and just take it easy!

As I said before, I am so hoping that you will pull through and Nombie will pull through...Good Luck!

I feel for you. Acetaminophen is normally all I'm allowed to take. With the exception of the cyst rupture and script of vicodin for a few days. Yeah treating a migraine with acetaminophen just doesn't do it. Have you tried a cool cloth or frozen gel eye mask? Sometimes that helps but I swear when I have a migraine my pillow is make of rocks with spikes on it. Hope you feel better soon. I'm believing that this baby will stick for you.

Feel better. I wholly agree with you staying on the couch. I stayed on the couch as much as I could too. I vacuumed ONCE the entire time I was pregnant.

The early waking is a GOOD thing! It was one of the very first signs of my first successful pg - waking 3-5 hours earlier than normal and finding it hard to go back to sleep. I think it's quite common in pregnancy, so while it's a pain, take hope. (I also had killer headaches in parts of pg too)

Fingers crossed for you!

I read your post and smiled because wbile I know you are terrified and in pain and exhausted, everything you have described are pregnancy symptoms, especially the stuffy nose.

You definitely should nap if you can, you need the sleep...sleep when you are tired.

I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that Monday gets here quickly.

I had terrible insomnia with my first pregnancy. I'd sleep 3 hours at night and then be wide awake, dragging through the day. Althought unlike you, I couldn't fall asleep during the day. This might be hormone-related. For me, it resolved around 11 weeks.
