And the results are...

The procedure was fairly quick, fairly painful from catheing my cervix (My poor sensitive cervix. It feels so violated.) and it was oh so informative, just as I thought it would be.

The HSG revealed:
Nothing.
Clear tubes, and a perfectly normal uterus.

So, all in all my repeat loss testing shows us that... there's nothing wrong with me causing the miscarriages, except... ummm, my PCOS I guess. Maybe my D deficiency played a part. Who knows.

What we do know is this... if I do mange to get pregnant again, here is what I was told to do...
"Hope for the best."

Why thank you Dr. Blowssunshine, I'll get right on that.

I would love to follow your blog if you could tell me how! LOL I am a little new to all this!

I am glad that your HSG went well!

Grrr...what a worthless bit of assvice from the doc. Sorry it was a waste of your time.

I'm sorry that it was painful, and for the dumb assvice from the doctor. I'm glad that your tubes and uterus are clear, but I'm sorry that you had to go through a painful procedure to confirm that.

How inconclusive is that? You could have shook him:

"Dammit Doctor, there has to be something wrong...See! See!"

Aaargh, this information is literally no information...

Hope for the best...it's not even funny anymore!

You're effing kidding me. I hate stupid doctors! (Or, at least, stupid comments from doctors!)

That reminds me of when the hematologist visited me in the hospital. I had just given birth to two dead babies (who had taken 2 years to conceive) and, as he's walking out the door, he says over his shoulder: "Don't worry, my mother had five miscarriages before she had me." Um - STFU.

So sorry you had to go through that!

I am glad your HSG was normal. I know it doesn't bring you any closer to answers, but in the wide view, it's good.

Doctors can be such dolts sometimes... many times.... most times... hell, almost always

I'm sorry that was painful for you and that it revealed no new information. That sucks.

We share the same doc - and he has said that very thing to me. He also told me to have "lots of sex" after he canceled my IVF. I gave him a weird look and realized his mistake and said "Ah, right. No sperm. Shucks!" He's an a$$!!

Oh wow.... how incredibly ignorant! I'm sorry.

Gah! I can't believe the doc said that to you.

I was sort of half relieved/half disappointed my HSG did not reveal anything wrong either.

Grrrr! I'm sorry your Dr is such an idiot!!!

I hate that you don't have any real answers.

I am sorry! i know exactly how that feels. That was the same thing they said after my 3rd mc. "we don't know why. Everything seems fine. It is probably the PCOS." It is just so frustrating!

When I had my HSG, I was disappointed that nothing amazing was found, and we were still "unexplained." Somehow, even a crappy explanation seemed more comforting than "who the hell knows?"
