At an impasse

Photobucket

I'm thinking about sitting this cycle out. I don't know. I really want u/s monitoring, but I really don't have the money to do that this cycle. So, if I do the Clomid I won't be able to do any monitoring...

I need to go get my b/w to test for Antiphospholipid Syndrome, and my co-pay for the HSG, and I have to get my liver tested again on the 3rd... so that is going to suck up a lot of money.

I'm so confused on what to do.

I want to take the Clomid, but I can't get monitoring... A- and I are going to talk it over once he gets home. Should I sit this out, or do Clomid without monitoring? I just do not know what to do. I don't want to be broke this month, and we will if we go ahead with everything. But I have to get the b/w done, and I should probably go ahead with the HSG too. (My insurance doesn't cover anything involving infertility, except diagnosis... stupid insurance.)

Ahhh, I just don't know.

What to do, what to do...

Ugh. Decisions are the worst (think Girls just wanna have fun :)). Does INS cover HSG or the bloodwork? I am sorry. I would take the clomid even if I couldn't have monitoring...it can't hurt. Just my 2 cents. Hugs to you!

hun, i think that I would take it also, |it isn't your first time on clomid so if something feels off you will know it.

If you can swing it i would, good luck with your decision hun.

My RE doesn't like to do Clomid for more than 4 cycles in a row before giving the body a rest. I would probably opt out and get the testing done and wait until you can do a fully monitored cycle. I hope the liver panels come back ok, I think that Met might help more than an up in Clom00d.

I know its not easy to opt out of a cycle, but anytime I had to do it, it did feel like a tiny little reprieve where M and I got to feel some semblance of normalcy again. If just for a moment :)

Hang in there hun.

My first 4 Clomid cycles were unmonitored. I think my RE only did monitored cycles if you did IUI as well.

I guess the question is- if you didn't do it, will you overwhelmingly feel like you lost a chance, or would you be able to take a breather for a month, regroup, and be raring to go for the next cycle?

Hey hun, can't you talk to your doc and see if the HSG and other stuff can be coded as something other than IF. Something doing w/ menstruation?? maybe the INS will cover it then?!?! It's a hard decision to take a break...I know it. I think if you have other test to run it's best to get them out of the way before going into another cycle. My RE made us do the HSG before treatment.

I don't know what to tell you. All I can do is offer {{{hugs}}} and prayers that you are able to come to a decision.

Did you get your papers done?

It sounds like practicality would dictate you wait this cycle out, but if I totally would chafe at that kind of advice when TTC. Clomid doesn't require monitoring, so you could always just "wing it" Get some OPKs and a thermometer to help you perhaps.
